The Joint Conference on Chemistry is an annual conference organized by the consortium of Chemistry Department of seven universities in Central Java: Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS), and Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN).

This joint conference has been held since 2006 which initially started with a local seminar to accommodate the dissemination of research results from chemistry lecturers and researchers from the five universities. Starting 2014, we enhanced the the scope of conference to be an International Conference by inviting overseas participant from all over the world.

4. The 12^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Universitas Negeri Semarang, Semarang, in 2017
5. The 13^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, in 2018
6. The 14^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, in 2019
7. The 15^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, Salatiga, in 2020
8. The 16^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto, in 2021
9. The 17^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Universitas Negeri Semarang, Semarang, in 2022
